Mi Frida Katy Perry Project (Sem 2)
This project was interesting and self driving. I discovered more about a cool celebrity, as well as a lot more Spanish. First, I learned more about ser and estar and when to use each one, when creating the tree paragraphs. Then, I gained more Photoshop skills and was able to create a beautiful image for mi frida with these skills. All around, many skills that I already had were used, and many skills were also gained, creating a delightful piece of work.

Mi Frida Description
Reflection
1. Why do you think Frida Kahlo painted so many auto-biographical paintings of herself?
Personally, I think Frida painted a lot of self portraits because she had a lot of time with herself alone when she was recovering from her extensive injuries.
2. How do you feel that your image came out?
My image came out very well, although I could've refined it a little bit more to make it more realistic. I could've spent a little bit more time on it but overall, I am happy with the turnout.
3. Did you end up with the image you thought you were going to when you made your project outline?
Yes, I did end up with the image on my outline. I added a lot more detail and creation to it, but it turned out just a great as I thought it would.
3. How would you do this differently if you were to start over again?
I would probably pick another, easier to use picture of Katy Perry. I would've also spent more time on my paragraphs to refine them further.

Dia de los Muertos Proyecto!
Day of the Dead Project (Sem 1)
The Day of the Dead project was a great turnout. I enjoyed learning more about myself, as well as more about this holiday in the Spanish culture. My class was asked to create and paragraph in Spanish describing yourself using descriptive adjectives and conjugated verbs. Then, we were asked to create a skeleton either using cut outs or by drawing your own. It was very pleasant learning more about Mexico and Spain through hands on work, and this excitement filled holiday.

Reflection
1) What did you learn about Dia de los Muertos?
I learned that Dia de los Muertos is a holiday celebrating the lives of those who have passed. Also, I learned some of the activities they do to celebrate the lives, and what they wear and eat in honor of the dead.
2)How did your skeleton/person reflect you?
My skeleton reflects how I enjoy being in the mountains and participating in activities in the mountains. I made sure to put mountains and the sun my picture to really show my passion of hiking and skiing and my love for where I live.
3)What are you proud of in this project?
I am most proud of my paragraph that I typed above because of the descriptive verbs I used. I made sure to take a lot of time on my description, and add all that was needed to be added.
4)What was difficult about this project?
I found it most difficult to write my paragraphs, and make sure that everything was right and readable. It was also most difficult to find descriptive words that fit the mood, and that I could pronounce.
5) What would you do differently next time?
Next time, I would add more detail to my paragraph, as well as more detail to my skeleton. Overall, I am very proud of my final work!
